Amplifying youth voices with Em!

If you’ve been following the ocean space, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve seen Emily Rowland, a young and rising blue star. As well as studying Environmental Science @ Macquarie Uni, she dedicates every spare minute of her time raising the profile and her voice to advocate for ocean health and sustainable marine resource management.
She was a recent driver of the inaugural Climate Action Week Australia, as well as supporting the development and protection of marine protected areas for the Nature Conservation Council of NSW, just to name a few things she’s rolled up her sleeves for. Emily is one of the kindest and most generous humans you will come across, not to mention busy!

As an Ocean Youth Ambassador she’s a critical component of connecting young people to the mission of securing the future health of our blue planet and taking positive action for our ocean.
