Isla – youth leaders in action!

Isla Campbell, is a passionate and determined young changemaker who has been a driving force in Ocean Youth for over two years. At just 15 years old, Isla has already shown that leadership isn’t about age—it’s about curiosity, education, and the courage to live your values out loud.

Isla’s sustainability journey began early. As a young child, she made the conscious decision to become vegetarian when she understood that eating meat meant eating animals. That moment of compassion sparked a lifelong commitment to making choices that align with her values—and inspired her to stand up for the planet and all the life it supports.

Since joining Ocean Youth, Isla has embraced every opportunity to deepen her knowledge and expand her impact. She played a key role in the inaugural Ocean Youth Summit, helping to shape the event and inspire others to think big and act boldly for the ocean. Her voice is one of clarity and purpose, reminding us that every action—no matter how small—can ripple outward to create real change.

“You don’t have to be perfect. Just start somewhere. Pick up one piece of plastic, eat one more plant-based meal, speak up once. It all adds up.” — Isla Campbell

Isla continues to lead by example in her school and community, from advocating for ocean-friendly choices to encouraging her peers to see themselves as part of the solution. Whether she’s speaking up for marine life, reducing her own footprint, or supporting fellow Ocean Youth Ambassadors, Isla brings a quiet strength and unwavering commitment to everything she does.

We’re so proud to have Isla as part of the Ocean Youth family—and excited to see how her leadership will continue to grow.

Follow along and be inspired. The ocean needs more voices like Isla’s. 🌎💙
